A European operator to join our team at HQ Dartford who will be the primary contact for their nominated partner – ensuring the smooth overland cargo transit from UK to Europe – in the most cost-effective manner and delivered to the customers expectation.

What you will be doing:

  • Act as first point of contact for Europa branch network and overseas partners, escalating issues as required
  • Controlling the arrival of cargo into the hub ensuring the freight is available to be delivered on time.
  • Arranging deliveries with customers (external and internal) and partners to agreed SLA
  • Communicating with customers (external and internal) and partners to manage ongoing relationships
  • Research and understand financials of the service to find more profitable means to operate and making the optimum commercial decisions to reduce real cost
  • Investigate cost saving with COT’s/DOT’s and routing options – maximising operating efficiency
  • Planning of groupage departures (export)

What you will bring to the role:

  • Strong, confident personality, with customer service or operation sales background.
  • Previous experience within transport and logistics in a similar planning role.
  • Time management and communication skills.
  • The ability to prioritise and to pro-actively deal with situations and use initiative.
  • Driven to succeed within the workplace.
