Autism Assessor (Children & Young People)
Location: Hybrid – In-person with some remote working – clinic location to be agreed
Hours: Part-time or full-time, flexible across weekdays
Contract Type: Permanent with 3 month probationary experience
Salary: £51,883 - £55,690 (pro rata), depending on experience

We are now looking for experienced Autism Assessors to join our growing neurodevelopmental team, contributing to the delivery of gold-standard autism assessments for children and young people.

As an Autism Assessor, you will work within a multidisciplinary team to deliver autism assessments in line with NICE guidance and national best practice. Manchester, Oxford, London, Exeter, Bristol), with flexibility for some remote work depending on the child and family needs.

Deliver play-based and observational assessments with children and young people (e.g. Write clear, child-centred clinical reports that reflect the strengths, needs, and any diagnosis.
Maintain accurate records in line with professional and regulatory standards.
Participate in regular supervision, team meetings, and reflective practice.
Help shape and improve our autism assessment pathway as we grow.

You are a compassionate and skilled clinician with experience in autism assessments and a commitment to family-centred care. Speech and Language Therapist (HCPC)
Mental Health or Learning Disability Nurse (NMC)
At least 2 years’ experience in autism assessments for children and young people.
Strong report writing and communication skills.
Clear Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one).
Ability to adapt assessments for online delivery where appropriate.
