About Us: Fourteen is a dynamic and innovative start-up private equity and support company based on the outskirts of the vibrant town of Marlow. As the Senior Finance Associate you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth financial operations for clients within the portfolio as well as for Fourteen. You will collaborate closely with our clients and internal teams to deliver exceptional financial support and reporting.
This role will be the first hire into a growing Finance department and will be an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and talented finance individual, to take ownership of, lead and eventually grow the critical finance function with support from the CEO.
Financial Administration:
Process and manage the finance functions for both Fourteen and our diverse client portfolio including:
Raising invoices & credits
Managing credit control
Bank reconciliations
Managing & processing client payrolls
Liaising with accountants on quarterly VAT returns, Management Accounts, Statutory Accounts and dividend calculations
Financial Reporting:
Sales reconciliation
Bank reconciliation
Month end journals including Accruals/Prepayment, salary, commission and corp tax
Balance Sheet Reconciliations
Assist in the creation of a financial plans for New Prospects
Working closely with internal teams, providing ad hoc reporting to allow Management to make effective strategic decisions
Act as a point of contact for our start-up clients, addressing their financial needs and queries
A minimum of 2 years experience in a finance role, preferably managing multiple clients
An understanding of accounting principals, and experience with month end processing, management accounts and financial reporting
Proficiency in financial software and tools (e.g., Xero, Microsoft Excel, Float).
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial data management and record-keeping.
Familiarity with recruitment start-up and investment sector practices.
