Exciting Opportunity for a Mechanical Design Engineer Are you passionate about mechanical engineering and looking for a role where you can flex your design muscles? A friendly, expanding manufacturer who specialise in small, intricate projects is searching for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team. This role offers a chance to make your mark in a variety of industries, contributing to innovative projects on an international scale. The team consists of 4 engineers with varying levels of experience, and would benefit greatly from an experienced and “well-travelled” engineer to aid in the their growth and development, to introduce alternative solutions, and to demonstrate best-practices. What Will You Be Doing? Design mechanical, electromechanical, and thermomechanical systems using SolidWorks 3D CAD. Contribute to design reviews. Build and test prototype and first-off designs. Document and review drawings, manuals, instructions, and procedures. Collaborate closely with a dedicated team to ensure all projects meet their deadlines, improve continuously, and align with relevant standards. What Do You Need? Have an excellent understanding of manufacturing processes and design for manufacturing/DFM. GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) experience. Able to use common hand tools for mechanical assembly and prototyping. A knack for juggling various tasks and delivering detailed manufacturing information punctually. CAD experience - SolidWorks preferred, other software (Inventor, Creo, Catia etc.) considered. Why Should You Apply? Competitive salary up to £45k per annum + share scheme.
