The Job

We’re excited to be adding to our team - we're looking for an Underwriter (Property, SME Package) who has worked in the UK industry and can hit the ground running that is aligned with our core brand principles.

Who You are

  • Ideally have 3 years Underwriting Insurance Experience.
  • Previously worked at another UK MGA.
  • Worked with the online trading platforms SchemeServe.
  • Enthusiastic about technology and excited about change.
  • Provide class leading service levels matched with energy.
  • Enjoys and be able to clear cases, your experience in underwriting will be across the following products:

  • Property Owners (Residential)
  • Property Owners (Commercial)
  • SME Retail Package
  • SME Leisure Package
  • SME Office / Surgeries Package
  • SME Liability (per capita)
  • SME Liability (wages & turnover)
  • SME Commercial Combined

What you'll be doing

  • Underwrite existing business within our binding authorities.
  • Issue quote certain terms and policies where required
  • Clear referrals within underwriting authority
  • Use hazard tools for decision making
  • Self-manage individual workloads to deliver to deliver exceptional customer service.
  • Use the appropriate medium of communication to support in order to maintain successful Internal and External relationships.
  • Work with other underwriters on individual cases where support is required.
  • Act on individual and team audit results to improve performance for both company and personal development.
  • Understand and operate within regulatory framework and identify and escalate any risks to the business.
  • Provide insights and experience, be part of an evolving business.
