The Role

As the Director of Transformation , you’ll report into our Group Director – Technology Transformation and Strategy. You’ll be responsible for all activities planned that deliver both organisational change for Group Tech and the tech estate evolution (platforms/infrastructure) , ensuring we are aligned across Comcast and that the numerous initiatives are planned with the right level of investment, resourcing and support from dependent and partner teams.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Partnering with Group Technology and TTS leadership team to define and execute on the strategy for key transformation initiatives

  • Owning the strategic leadership view of all change across the numerous transformational workstreams with full oversight, execution and longer-term plans, driving transparency across Group Tech leadership.

  • Driving the analysis, business case formulation, implementation, and impact measurement, while implementing a best-in-class programme governance structure and tracking mechanisms.

  • Collaborate and partner with the Group Director in facilitating effective decision-making

  • Leading on long-term organisational transformation and multi-million-dollar savings for efficiency programmes .

  • Overall responsibility for the Lean Agile Centre of Excellence (LACE) and accountability for the “Agile for Sky” Operating Model (people, process and technology)

  • Providing leadership to drive the transformation efforts involved

  • Establish a clear and long-term location strategy and operational structure to ensure Technology talent has a scalable plan for growth and development.

  • Working within the continental and global framework of Sky and Comcast, building relationships with the wider Sky Exec to collaborate on strategic initiatives on behalf of Group Tech to identify consolidation opportunities and sharing best practice, and bringing Group Tech closer to the business.

  • Own the CTO’s Office, supporting the Group CTO and their leadership team with operational governance and any leadership support as required . Producing cohesive insights and reporting for sharing with the Executive Steering Group.

Strategy

  • You are experienced in taking a broad lens to execute a strategic plan, inspiring long-ranging perspectives across the technology and commercial landscape, using market insights and trends to operationalise a global and localised strategy that delivers world-class experiences

Transformation

  • You thrive in deal ing with ambiguity to execute on a technology strategy and key transformation initiatives that have company and territory-wide impact, ensuring that all elements across people, process and technology are coherent and joined up .

  • You can create a consolidated roadmap and collaborate with other orgs to deliver long-term organisational and technology transformation and multi-million-dollar savings

Strategic Delivery

  • You’ll partner with the Director, Strategic Delivery to mana ge the delivery of the execution of key strategic and transformational technology initiatives, ensuring these are managed to time and budget requirements and bring all dependent teams and leadership together to drive transparency across Sky and Comcast.

  • Can confidently provide leadership to drive significant transformation and organisational change to reduce the cost-structure and create a clear and long-term vision and strategy, along with delivering numerous transformational company-wide initiatives.

Organisational transformation

  • Lead the shap ing and transformation of the overall organisational structure of a Group Tech function (which consists of almost 4,000 employees) , providing significant strategic leadership and direction

  • Can d riv e the transformation efforts involved in executing against the vision, including Group operating model and beyond the boundaries to include synergies

Agile

  • Landing a company-wide initiative , handholding with broader business units and both challenging and supporting the exec across , ensuring all of the theoretical plans for the largest business units actually land in a timely fashion, but also ensuring that Lean Agile Centre of Excellence (LACE) and Enterprise Portfolio Management (EPM) are implemented successfully over the next 2 years.

  • E volv ing a Group Technology operating model to reduce duplication of teams and technolog y

Platform evolution and simplification, and tech symphony

  • You have experience of having full accountability and ownership of driving transformation workstreams and partner ing with multiple dependent teams to deliver best-in-class digital experience for customers across all territories.

  • C an c reate a platforms roadmap alongside the enterprise architecture team, establishing and aligning ways of working across the group.

Commercial transformation

  • O wnership of identifying and delivering transformational change, by helping design new strategic initiatives and own the transformational workstreams to deliver these.

CTO Office

  • You have experience e stablishing a CTO office – which is responsible for managing Group Tech governance, and also operational support for the Group Chief Technology Officer and Leadership Team. Owning the strategic leadership view of all change across the numerous transformational workstreams with full oversight, execution and longer-term plans, driving transparency across Group Tech leadership
