Company Description:

  • This consultancy focuses on the hotel and hospitality sector providing project management, asset management and advisory services and provides services to range of established and new hotel brands.

Role Description:

  • Reporting to the board on projects, planning and overseeing hotel projects and facilities management initiatives from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budget constraints, and quality standards.
  • Collaborating with clients, contractors, architects, and other stakeholders to define project goals, scope, and deliverables, specifically tailored to hotel and facilities management projects.
  • Conducting feasibility studies, site inspections, and risk assessments to assess project viability and identify potential challenges or opportunities in the hospitality and facilities management sectors.
  • Developing project plans, including work breakdown structures, schedules, and resource allocation, to effectively manage project activities and optimize productivity, with a focus on hotel and facilities management projects.
  • Procuring and managing necessary permits, licenses, and documentation to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements specific to hotel development and facilities management.
  • Monitoring project progress, tracking key milestones, and promptly addressing any deviations or obstacles to maintain project momentum and achieve desired outcomes in hotel and facilities management projects.
  • Coordinating and supervising contractors, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure timely execution of project tasks and deliverables, particularly within the hospitality industry.
  • Managing project budgets, including cost estimation, expense tracking, and financial reporting, to ensure projects are completed within allocated financial limits, emphasizing hotel and facilities management projects.
  • Implementing effective communication and reporting mechanisms to provide regular updates on project status, risks, and progress to stakeholders, management, and clients involved in hotel and facilities management projects.
  • Conducting post-project evaluations to analyze project performance, identify lessons learned, and propose improvements for future hotel and facilities management projects.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a project manager in the real estate industry, preferably with a focus on hotel projects and facilities management.
  • A background as a building surveyor or project manager with significant experience in the hospitality sector.
  • Strong knowledge of construction and real estate industry practices, regulations, and standards, particularly relevant to hotel and facilities management projects.
  • Proficiency in project management methodologies, tools, and software applicable to the hospitality industry.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills to effectively prioritize tasks and meet project deadlines in hotel development and facilities management.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate and collaborate with clients, contractors, and stakeholders within the hospitality industry.
  • Solid financial acumen and budget management skills to ensure projects are completed within allocated resources, focusing on hotel projects and facilities management.
  • Ability to conduct thorough feasibility assessments and risk analyses to determine project viability in the hospitality sector.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities to address challenges and resolve conflicts during project execution in hotel and facilities management.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality assurance mindset to ensure projects meet or exceed industry standards and client expectations in the hospitality industry.
