Established at the forefront of chemical manufacturing, our client is an internationally renowned chemical manufacturer focusing on the production and development of both inorganic and organic colours. Due to the internal promotion of the present International Sales Manager, our clients are now looking for a proven International Sales professional to lead, develop and mentor an experienced sales/commercial team across the UK & Ireland whilst managing and supporting an established international distribution network across Europe.

The Role:

The International Sales Manager will assume the following responsibilities:

  • Supporting, developing, recruiting, training and pushing sales through European distributors
  • Managing, developing, training and recruiting a UK & Ireland commercial team
  • Managing key accounts within the coatings, paints, inks, adhesives, sealants and plastics industries
  • Developing, implementing and successfully integrating 1, 3 & 5 year business plans
  • Developing new business opportunities and emerging markets such as personal care, pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, etc.
  • Managing and developing the European product portfolio
  • Budgetary responsibility for the whole of Europe
The Requirements:
  • Degree in Chemistry or related subject (Colour Chemistry highly advantageous)
  • Proven leadership/man management experience
  • Experience setting up and managing European Distribution networks
  • Experience of selling organic and/or in-organic pigments to the coatings, paints, inks, adhesives, sealants and plastics industries
  • Excellent understanding and proven international sales experience
  • A highly motivated and entrepreneurial personality
  • Ability to travel throughout Europe (this role will require extensive travel)
  • Excellent communication skills, including fluency in English and ideally another major European Language (German, French, Spanish)
