A great opportunity has arisen at Hovis for a Health, Safety and Environmental Manager at our Bradford Bakery to lead and develop all safety production activities while driving improvements within agreed safety, cost, quality and timescale criteria, in order to optimize the use of all assets. You must ensure the site’s compliance with all relevant Hovis Ltd and Legislative Health & Safety requirements within the working environment and fully own Risk assessments and overall quality of the safety output.

* Effectively coordinate Health, Safety & Environmental activities for the site/company ensuring that all agreed targets and activities are achieved in a timely manner.

* Evidence of accident prevention programme implementation.

* Proven ability to design and conduct H&S based training for groups of people.

* Proven impartiality during investigations and/or deployment activity.

* Proven experience of tactical deployment against company strategy.

* NEBOSH general certificate in Occupational Health & Safety.

* Experience of working in an unionised environment.

* NEBOSH Environmental certificate.

* NEBOSH Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety.

* Member of Site or Company Senior Leadership Team
