Our focus is on improving the implementation of Self-directed Support (SDS) in Scotland. We do this by workingcollaboratively across the social care sector: with our members, Scottish Government, Local Authorities andthird sector organisations. We promote the values and principles of SDS and deliver a range of projects aimed atimproving understanding of (and access to) Self-directed Support.
We're looking for a talented and adaptable Development Support Officer to support our teamacross a range of projects and deliverables.
To provide effective communications and operational support on project delivery, with an initial focus ontraining, both online and e-learning, and National Conference delivery.
To support the team in keeping SDSS membership and project data up-to-date andaccessible.
Coordinating data gathering campaigns such as surveys.
Campaign and secretariat management for national collaborations, such as the Personal Assistant Programme Board.
We are looking for new Board Members who are willing to bring energy, enthusiasm, and commitment to the role, and whowill broaden the diversity of thinking on our board.
We are a leading learning disability charity based in Glasgow that specialises in providing support and care servicesfor children, young adults and adults who have learning disabilities, autistic spectrum disorders and mentalhealth issues.
Previous board management experience is not necessary and whilst this is a voluntary position,out-of-pocket expenses are reimbursed.

Weare looking for caring and motivated staff to support deaf BSL users to join our team. Deaf Action is a deaf-led charity, supporting and celebrating deaf people. If you have experience in supporting people in their own homes, tenancies, or a care home setting, that isbeneficial. If you do not, we can provide training. We always provide on the job and formal training, and ourworkers often go on to complete formal qualifications in social care. If you already have knowledge of BSL thatis a bonus, however we can provide training if you do not.

We have varied roles within our Care and Support Services such as Care at Home support worker, Outreach Supportworker in our services in Edinburgh, the Lothians and Glasgow; This will include both activities in the care home, in theirown home and within the community which will promote independence and social inclusion.
