We have an exciting opportunity for a Cost Controller to join our growing team at Sunset Hospitality Group – UK.

About the role:

This is our first opening into the UK, and we’re in our pre-opening phase, preparing to open not one but three concepts in the heart of London’s Belgravia We’re looking for a Cost Controller to take overall responsibility for the day-to-day function of control, analysing purchases, transfers, voids, and stock management. This role will be responsible for establishing and maintaining documentation of accounting procedures and processes, ensuring that all internal control procedures are effectively and properly maintained.

Key Responsibilities:

  • As the link between the F&B and Finance Departments, you will monitor and control the performance, always adhering to the budget and finding ways to increase the profit.
  • Investigate the differences between the actual and theoretical results and reporting to Senior Management where the variances are.
  • Manage stock: Reviewing stock levels, ensuring accurate record keeping.
  • Lead the month-end stock-taking for all stores, cellars, and outlets across the multiple brands in the business.
  • Update all inventory requisitions through the inventory and purchasing system.
  • Maintain accurate records for all purchase orders raised and cancel old or non-returned orders in a timely manner.
  • Actively seek ways to improve the spending and cost controls, across multiple the brands, agree and implement any resulting actions.
  • Maintain the inputting prices, menu changes and user changes in the point of sale (POS) system.

Essential Skills & Requirements:

  • Ideal candidate should have worked as a Cost Controller within hospitality for a minimum of 2 years.
  • Strong financial acumen and attention to detail is essential.
  • Ability to work across departments in a collaborative way.
  • Excellent administration and organizational skills with a high level of accuracy.
  • Be able to work independently as well as collaboratively.
