Director of People and Culture

CLA Global is a worldwide organization of independent accounting and advisory firms. CLA Global member firm professionals provide audit, accounting, tax, and advisory services to help guide organizations and individuals through the increasingly complex global business and financial environment. The organization has grown rapidly since its inception in 2022 and is now at a stage where a full-time individual is required to join the Global Office to ensure all aspects relating to People and Culture are delivered in an efficient and effective manner.
Global Mobility and Secondments:
Support member firm leaders in the design, development, and coordination of a comprehensive global approach to employee mobility and secondment opportunities.
Establish policies and processes to facilitate smooth transitions for employees moving across international locations.
Learning and Development Strategy:
Lead the development of a global learning and development strategy, working with our member firms.
In the short term, consider phase 1 of the strategy including the development of 2-3 signature programs such as:
Determine the optimal balance between new development and adapting existing assets within the network.
Defining Global Culture and Values:
~ Collaborate with leadership and employees to define, articulate, and promote CLA Global’s culture and core values.
Societal and Community Impact:
~ Working with member firms to develop and implement a CLA Global approach to societal and community impact.
Work with the People and Culture Committee and its Chair to achieve the strategic goals relating to People and Culture.
Ad hoc support:
To provide the Global Office with ad hoc support and guidance on people and culture matters.
Persuading and influencing – ability to communicate across all levels of seniority and across a range of cultures to achieve an appropriate outcome.
~ Communication – both internal and external, in writing and in presentations.
~ Networking – with leaders in member firms and externally, within the profession.
~‘No task too small’ – the network is young and growing and a willingness to carry out tasks at all levels is essential to ensure the People and Culture strategy is delivered.
Experience in the design, development, and coordination of a global employee mobility and secondment programme.
Experience of designing and providing learning and development resources across multiple channels, including in person and virtual learning tools.
Strong organization and management skills to proactively manage and prioritize course development activities for multiple tasks.
Ability to develop project plans showing scope, timelines, resource requirements and constraints/risks.
Ability to define, articulate, and promote a global organisation’s culture and core values.
Enthusiasm and passion for people and culture within an organisation.
Excellent English language written and oral communication skills.
