Job Description We are seeking an experienced Capstan Setter/Operator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting and operating Ward Capstan lathes to produce precision-turned components from a variety of materials. This role is integral to ensuring our high standards of accuracy and quality are consistently met. Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate Ward Capstan lathes.
• Utilize tools such as Landis and Coventry die heads, Fette rollers, roller boxing, and broaching tools.
• Work from engineering drawings to produce precision-turned parts.
• Perform self-inspection of components using all relevant measuring equipment to maintain strict quality standards.
• Adjust machine settings as necessary to achieve desired results.
• Work collaboratively with the quality and production teams to ensure production targets and quality standards are met.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Experience in setting and operating Ward Capstan lathes is essential.
• Knowledge of tooling such as Landis and Coventry die heads, Fette rollers, roller boxing, and broaching.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality standards.
• Proficiency in using measuring equipment (e.g., micrometers, calipers, and gauges) for quality inspection.
• Ability to work independently and ensure accuracy in all tasks.
