Global E&C - Principal Structural Engineers
Global E&C is seeking experienced Principal Structural Engineers for staff opportunities in Aberdeen. These key roles ensure structural engineering activities align with Global E&C's integrated delivery model.
You will be responsible for:
# Supporting the Lead engineer in team management, workload allocation, quality assurance, and delivery
# Providing design input into tenders and proposals
# Offering technical input into scopes of work and preparing estimates
# Ensuring work complies with budget and schedule
# Checking/approving discipline deliverables from team members
# Maintaining project plan and providing progress updates
# Ensuring compliance with standards, regulations, codes, and procedures

To be successful in this role, you should ideally demonstrate:
Degree qualification in a relevant engineering subject
Chartered with a relevant institution (e.g., ICE, IStructE)
Brownfield experience in the offshore sector
Technical competence in concept, FEED, and detailed design of steel structures
Knowledge and experience in relevant design codes and standards (e.g. Eurocodes, AISC, DNV)
Competence in relevant engineering analysis and calculation software (e.g. STAAD.Pro, Mathcad)
Competence in commercial, contractual, and administrative aspects of Engineering
