Plant Engineer - Curzon Street - Birmingham City Centre Balfour Beatty Vinci has an exciting opportunity for a Plant Engineer to join our team based in Birmingham on one of our flagship project areas. As a Plant Engineer you’ll coordinate all plant, equipment, ancillaries, and inspections required in support of BBV delivery teams at Curzon Street. Some of the duties you will have include: Coordinate daily plant operations and ensure compliance with safety and BBV policies Manage records, reports, and maintenance schedules for plant and equipment Support procurement, inventory, and contractor coordination Oversee facility upkeep and assist with issue resolution Liaise with site teams, support cost control, and share updates across departments Assist with meetings and general plant admin tasks as needed The ideal candidate for the role would have the below: Experience in plant admin/co-ordination, ideally on construction projects Strong multitasking, documentation, and communication skills Basic understanding of plant machinery, maintenance, and safety standards (e.g., LOLER, PUWER, HSWA) Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Power BI, PowerPoint) and plant/vehicle systems CSCS card and valid driving licence About Balfour Beatty VINCI Balfour Beatty VINCI is a long-established joint venture between two powerhouses for the delivery of critical infrastructure across rail, transport and other iconic projects in the UK and beyond. We started working together over 30 years ago to deliver the Channel Tunnel, as members of the TransManche Link consortium. In the Midlands, it is Balfour Beatty VINCI’s role to design and build the route, ready for tracks and signalling to be installed. Our work with HS2 Balfour Beatty VINCI have been awarded a 90km section of the HS2 project from Long Itchington in Warwickshire to the centre of Birmingham and then on to Handsacre in Staffordshire.
