The Instrument Technician is responsible to the Maintenance Supervisor for the maintenance of all instrument / electrical equipment within H&P scope / area of responsibility.

Work Type: permanent
Maintain and repair as necessary all instrument/electrical equipment, investigating defects and submitting reports as required.
Maintain a preventative maintenance programme in accordance with Group repair and preventative maintenance procedures as directed by immediate supervisor.
Monitor any instrument / electrical equipment supplied by other contractors or sub-contractors to ensure that it is suitable for use within the areas desired
Plan maintenance and repairs to minimise the effect on the drilling operation and to carry out the maintenance tasks specified by the computerised maintenance system.
Recommend and when required embody modifications to equipment or systems to enhance safety, improve rig performance or comply with statutory notices.
Recognised Engineering qualification / Trade qualification papers.
Offshore Survival certificate.
OGUK Medical.

Significant experience working in the drilling industry or with a drilling equipment related to maintenance environment.
Microsoft Office literate.
SAP, Maximo.
Exposure to offshore working environment with some knowledge of Permit systems.
