Analyze project specifications, drawings, and other documentation to prepare accurate cost estimates.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to gather necessary information for estimates.
Utilize estimating software and tools to generate detailed cost breakdowns, including materials, labor, equipment, and overhead.
Evaluate potential risks and opportunities associated with each project and incorporate them into cost estimates.
Prepare and present comprehensive estimates to senior management and clients, explaining the rationale behind the provided figures.
Review and analyze historical data to improve estimating accuracy and efficiency.
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
Proven experience as an Estimator in the civil engineering or groundworks sector.
Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and processes.
Proficiency in estimating software and tools (e.g., Salary and Benefits: The salary for this position ranges from £50,000 to £70,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
