Job Title: Sports Coach / Teaching Assistant

Position Type: Temporary to permanent after 3 months or straight permanet options

Simply Education is working in partnership with a SEMH School in Wolverhampton near Bushbury they are looking to appoint a Sport Coach / Teaching Assistant.

The school specialise in educating pupils from 11- 16 years the school and they support the needs of a diverse group of pupils with a range of complex learning needs typically associated Social Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH).

They are seeking a Sports Coach / Teaching Assistant to work both inside and outside of the classroom supporting the students with a range of activities and learning. You will be one to one with the students in the classroom and then two days per week out of the classroom with activities and sports.

We understand that you may not have worked in a SEMH school setting before however training and support would be delivered.

The successful Sport Coach / Teaching assistant will provide one-to-one and group support to students with SEND, ensuring their individual needs are met.

Implement bespoke curriculum plans tailored to each student's academic and pastoral requirements.

As a Sports Coach / Teaching Assistant you must demonstrate empathy, understanding, and a nurturing approach in all interactions with students.

Consistently apply behaviour management techniques outlined in the behaviour management policy.

Collaborate effectively with teachers, therapists, and other professionals to support student progress.

Previous experience working with young people with complex behaviours is desirable but no essential as full training will be provided.
