Situated in the heart of Hertfordshire, our clients luxury hotel offers a retreat from the hustle and bustle of city life. Their culinary philosophy revolves around celebrating the best of British cuisine, with a focus on utilising fresh, seasonal produce sourced from local gardens. As a Senior Sous Chef, you'll play a key role in supporting the culinary leadership team in all aspects of kitchen operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Head Chef in menu planning and development, ensuring alignment with our culinary vision.
Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficiency and adherence to quality standards.
Provide leadership and guidance to kitchen staff, fostering a culture of teamwork and excellence.
Manage inventory and procurement to maintain optimal supply levels.
Lead by example in the kitchen, demonstrating culinary skills and attention to detail.
Encourage creativity and innovation within the culinary team.
Requirements:
Previous experience as a Sous Chef in a luxury hotel or fine dining establishment.
Strong knowledge of British cuisine and a commitment to using seasonal, locally sourced ingredients.
Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in Professional Cookery.
