We are seeking a Head of Supply Chain with a strong background in procurement, purchasing and stock management for a leading Plastic Packaging Supplier based in mid-Wales.

The Candidate:

Previous experience in a B2B supply chain management position with a proven track record of delivering results.
Strong work ethic: the desire to get things done, and to learn and progress.
Leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate at all levels of seniority, customers, and colleagues alike.
Analytical and strategic proficiency, capable of interpreting data and leveraging insights to drive business growth.
You must be willing to dig into the finer detail with cost savings and current systems, and to advise on change.
You must be a strong negotiator and have a good understanding of distributors.
You must be willing to find solutions to supply chain-related issues.
Duties and Responsibilities:

Contribute to the growth of a leading supplier of plastic packaging.
Implement improved supplier management systems.
Build strong relationships with current suppliers and implementing industry standard processes.
Unite, manage and advise the purchasing and procurement team.
You will manage a headcount of 4 in the purchasing department.
Occasional supplier visits UK and Europe wide.
You will be responsible for supply chain, stock and procurement management.
Departmental budget responsibility.
