By joining our well-established construction teams working on our significant future pipeline of large-scale Buildings projects within Education in the central belt and you will work with true experts who’ll share their knowledge and provide support, encouragement, and invaluable feedback so you never stop learning. As a Senior Site Engineer you will undertake Site Engineering control and implementation of works on site, including monitoring and reporting of progress.

Around Engineering Control, you will set out the provision of sketches detailing the setting out of information installed whilst maintaining survey equipment including registers of equipment and testing regimes whilst determining information from drawings, schedules and specifications

You will produce as-built drawings & records for every element of the works involved in completion of Quality Check Sheets and production of information for Handover Documentation in a timely manner in line with programme whilst maintaining accurate records - Daily Diary, photographs, records of site discussions.

You will focus on Works to Weekly Programme (drafted by others) and mark up progress achieved weekly while contributing to collection of data for Key Performance Indicators, including reasons for difference.

You will have the responsibility of producing accurate daily diary of resources, including labour, plant, materials, subcontractors and outputs, produce weekly measure take offs and schedules materials accurately, producing accurate and clear requisitions, following through to delivery.

You will understand what is classified as additional work and understand how to record this and you will be familiar with actual resourcing levels versus budget and reporting of reasons for difference

The following qualities/experience are essential

Strong work ethic with flexibility to work unsociable hours/nights

Holds a current driving license and CSCS Card

Engineering Control

Quality

Strong understanding of construction tolerances

Awareness and use of Specification and other Contract documents

Commercial

Knowledge of specification and contract documents

Understands what constitutes additional works

The following qualities/experience are desirable

Knowledge of the construction process in one or more of the following areas:

Earthworks/Drainage, Pavement, Structures, Roadworks
