Director Of Operations Treatment And Recovery The Treatment and Recovery function within Syncora consists of AcornRecovery Projects and Delphi Medical, both leaders in their field of providing drug and alcohol treatment. Within this area of thebusiness, there are several successful services and contracts, includingCommunity and Residential Treatment, Prison and Community Services andSupported Accommodation, as well as numerous opportunities to grow and improveour combined portfolio.
BothAcorn and Delphi have strong service offers, each with a clear vision forproviding quality support and treatment. During the past two years the currentDirector of Treatment & Recovery has led the development of an integratedapproach to substance misuse service delivery across Syncora. This role will continueto build upon the good foundations ensuring that we sustain a multifacetedoffer that has a clear vision and results in a culture of collaboration andsharing of success.
The successfulcandidate will hold responsibility for the excellent strategic, operational, and financialdelivery of quality services that meet all regulatory and legislativerequirements. The ability to retain oversight and leadership of key businessareas is required, as well as the understanding that operational involvement attimes is required to fully understand the quality and impact of our offer.
Thesuccessful candidate will work creatively and innovatively with teams and othersenior leaders across The Calico Group to develop and encourage joined-upworking, ensuring that services provide high-quality therapeutic intervention,placing the customer need at the forefront. The role will work collaborativelywith the Director of Partnerships and Head of Business development, supportingkey projects and growth opportunities that support this ambition. The successfulcandidate can see beyond their own area of the business and collaborate wider,providing a dynamic and agile working style.

Together, weve established a track record across the Northwest for providing a complete community service that includes housing, healthcare, support, employability and construction.
This post is based in Syncora which is the division in Calico providing substance misuse treatment and recovery services alongside skills and training, domestic abuse, homelessness, and residential care.

The Director of Operations will hold responsibility for excellent strategic, operational, and financial delivery of quality services that meet all regulatory and legislative requirements. The ability to retain oversight and leadership of key business areas is required, as well as the understanding that operational involvement at times is required to fully understand the quality and impact of our offer.
The successful candidate will work creatively and innovatively with teams and other senior leaders across The Calico Group to develop and encourage joined-up working, ensuring that services provide high-quality therapeutic intervention, placing the customer need at the forefront.

-Relevant professional qualification or equivalent work experience.
-Experience of working as a Director role within the relevant field or similar size organisation and/or extensive senior operational experience in substance misuse or similar services.
Strong business and financial acumen, developing and leading substantial budgets and achieving positive financial performance.
-Balancing the needs of social and business objectives, ability to oversee complex, inter-linked programmes of work.
-Robust understanding of regulatory and policy context for substance misuse services.
-Ensuring safeguarding policy is implemented and that all forms of safeguarding risk are appropriately managed.
-Understanding of quality improvement systems and the ability to lead them effectively.
-Excellent communication and analytical skills, understanding complex data and information.
-Highly proficient with Microsoft applications and general IT.
-Leading and advising on safeguarding within Treatment & Recovery, understanding relevant legislation and guidance.
-To understand and influence the external social and political commissioning landscape.
