Lead Architect for Large Scale UK Projects

A large AJ100 architecture practice based in Central London is seeking a Lead Architect to join their team. The ideal candidate will have exceptional technical expertise and a passion for delivering complex schemes in the UK from concept to completion. Responsibilities: Lead large-scale mixed-use projects through all RIBA stages, with a strong focus on technical delivery and construction. Coordinate design teams, consultants, and contractors on-site to ensure quality and compliance. Drive project programmes, budgets, and technical standards while maintaining design integrity. Mentor junior team members and foster collaboration across disciplines Skills & Experience: ARB-registered Architect with 5-8 years post Part III experience Proficiency in Revit and BIM workflows Proven experience leading major projects on-site to completion Strong technical and construction knowledge, including UK building regulations Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to manage stakeholders confidently Ability to work with contractors and consultants overseeing RFIs The right to live and work in the UK Benefits: Hybrid working (3 days in studio, 2 remote) Private medical insurance Ongoing training, support and career progression Cycle-to-work scheme, employee wellbeing scheme Inclusive, social team culture with regular events Good work life balance, 35 hour working week
