Job Description: As a Resident Engineer, you will be the frontline ambassador of their company, providing on-site service, maintenance, and repair for their range of forklift trucks. Your technical expertise and customer-centric approach will ensure the optimal performance of their equipment, contributing to their reputation for excellence and reliability. Key Responsibilities: The key responsibilities for the Resident Engineer are: Provide on-site engineering support to customers, addressing technical issues and ensuring optimal performance of forklift trucks. Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on forklift trucks, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum efficiency. Conduct training sessions for customer staff on the proper use, maintenance, and safety protocols of their forklift products. Oversee the installation and commissioning of new forklift trucks, ensuring compliance with specifications and customer requirements. Conduct inspections and quality checks on forklift trucks to ensure they meet the company's high standards and customer expectations. Maintain detailed service records, reports, and documentation for all maintenance and repair activities. Qualifications: The successful candidate for the Resident Engineer will have: An NVQ level 3 in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the material handling or heavy machinery industry. A strong technical knowledge of forklift trucks and their components. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Effective communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical customers.
