OVERVIEW

The Project Engineers are required to assist the Technical Delivery Manager in overseeing the execution of assigned projects on behalf of TRAC Renewables and their clients, thereby ensuring the successful delivery of projects in accordance with HSEQ systems and exceeding our client’s expectations.

  • Improvements – interface with the HSEQ representative/ Line Manager on any HSEQ related issues/ initiatives.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Liaise with clients as necessary to ensure effective technical delivery of projects, as required by Technical Delivery Manager.
  • Responsible directly to the Technical Delivery Manager to oversee the technical execution of assigned projects.
  • Attend project specific client meetings, as necessary.
  • Attend job briefs and progress update meetings as appropriate.
  • Regular communications with site personnel to monitor site activities and progress, in conjunction with providing relevant support during the execution of the works. 
  • Provide support in the generation of workpacks for inspection, maintenance, and repair scopes.
  • Day to day management of our inCERT inspection enactment software and databases
  • Ensure inspection data is correctly processed and accessible for review.
  • Ensure all anomalies are subject to appropriate engineering evaluation.
  • Review drawings and documentation for Technical Delivery Manager and Technical Authorities.
  • Assist in the compilation of inspection work packs/reports.
  • Support project administration as directed by Technical Delivery Manager.
  • Offshore and/or site visits when required.

COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications and Experience

Essential:

  • Degree or equivalent technical qualification in a relevant engineering discipline.
  • A high level of computer literacy and comprehensive expertise with MS office suite.
  • Experience in generation of work packs, risk assessments, and quality controls.
  • Ability to read and interpret commonly used engineering drawings and data sets.

Preferred:

  • Renewable Energy Sector experience.
  • Experience with MS Project.
  • Working knowledge of inspection management database systems.
  • Knowledge of the uses and limitations of commonly applied non-destructive examination techniques applied in support of above water inspection activities e.g. magnetic particle inspection, ultrasonic wall thickness measurement, and radiography techniques.
  • GWO certification advantageous.
