The opportunity: This role sits at the heart of a major secure transformation programme, strengthening high-assurance platforms relied on across sensitive environments. You will join a delivery-focused team working on complex, mission-critical systems where reliability, resilience and technical depth matter. The work is hands-on, impactful and central to programme success. What you'll do: Engineer, maintain and improve secure VMware infrastructure across vSphere, ESXi, NSX and vSAN. Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues within tightly controlled environments. Support platform stability, performance and ongoing capability uplift. Work collaboratively with delivery, architecture and programme teams to ensure reliable and secure operation. Operate in a hybrid model requiring three days per week in Farnborough plus occasional travel to Bristol. What you'll bring: Must-have qualifications and experience: Active DV clearance (essential; without this you cannot perform the role). Demonstrable experience as a VMware infrastructure/platform engineer. Hands-on capability in vSphere, ESXi, NSX and vSAN. Strong troubleshooting ability within secure or highly regulated environments. Comfort working in fast-moving, complex and occasionally ambiguous delivery settings.
