CSCS Drainage Groundworkers

Activus Recruitment Ltd is a leading construction recruitment agency, providing high-quality staffing solutions to the construction industry. We are currently seeking two experienced Groundworkers to join our team on a full-time, on-going basis working on various sites in Dundee and Edinburgh.
As a Groundworker, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks related to the preparation and construction of building foundations, roads, and other structures. You will work alongside other construction professionals, including site managers, engineers, and other tradespeople, to ensure projects are completed to the highest standard.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare building foundations by excavating and levelling the ground
- Lay foundations, including concrete, brickwork, and drainage systems
- Install manholes, inspection chambers, and other underground structures
- Operate various hand and power tools, including diggers, compactors, and jackhammers
- Read and interpret construction plans and drawings
- Adhere to health and safety regulations and company policies at all times
- Communicate effectively with team members and site managers to ensure smooth project execution
- Complete all tasks to a high standard and within the given timeframe
Requirements:
- Strong experience in drainage works
- Strong knowledge of building materials and techniques
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and drawings
- Experience operating various hand and power tools
- Good physical fitness, as the role involves manual labour and working in various weather conditions
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Must have valid CSCS card
- You must be willing to travel between various sites as required
- CPCS/NPORS Excavator above and below 10 tonnes advantageous
- Dumper/Roller ticket preferred
Please note, machine work will not be full-time, you will be required to assist with manual aspects of groundworks also.
