We distribute our ratings via our SaaS Product, BeZero Carbon Markets, informing all market participants on how to price and manage risk. Our ratings and research tools support buyers, intermediaries, investors and carbon project developers.
Founded in April 2020, our 150+ strong team combines climatic and earth sciences, sell-side financial research, earth observation, machine learning, data and technology, engineering, and public policy expertise. Having raised a significant Series B funding round in late 2022, we are rapidly growing as a company, accelerating the Net-Zero transition through ratings.

The ideal candidate would have an academic background in environmental and/or natural sciences and applied experience working on mangroves.
We are looking for a driven, creative and intellectually curious individual excited by the prospect of working at an innovative start-up aiming to rethink the frameworks within which credits from such projects as assessed for quality
The role will be focused on researching the science and evidence behind different types of nature-based projects, with a particular focus on mangrove-based activities. The role will lead our Blue Carbon function, continue to build our database of evidence and ratings and content stream for the sector. The successful candidate will be expected to drive analytical development, BeZero’s research and develop sector & sub-sector expertise to lead analysis of carbon projects. The ideal candidate will bring a depth of knowledge in mangrove projects and the ability to create effective messaging for a diverse audience. The candidate will report to BeZero’s Director of Carbon Ratings and can work remotely or from our London-based office on GMT hours.
Lead the content stream and analytical innovation for our Blue Carbon team
Research nature based projects in the voluntary carbon market
Writing research reports on market trends and dynamics
Working towards monthly targets through delivery of ratings, reviews and content
Potential management of rating scientists, depending on experience
Have an academic background in environmental and/or natural sciences with applied experience on mangroves.
Have a strong research background and analytical skills.
Have a strong understanding of the voluntary carbon market and the risks offset projects face.
