By acquiring Schofield Lothian in 2021, Assystem reaffirmed their commitment to the UK’s energy transition in combining strengths with a long-established provider of consultancy services to the transport and infrastructure sectors, through the delivery of sustainable performance improvements within four practice areas: Commercial Management; Project Management; and Environment & Sustainability.
Based on these solid foundations, our Consents team continues to build on its existing capability and has ambitious plans to develop its reach within both the transport & infrastructure sectors and through the additional opportunities offered via the Assystem network within the nuclear sector.
initially we seek a Assistant Consultant, with a Town Planning background to join our team to provide clients consents and town planning advice for major infrastructure projects.
We would expect candidates to have a Town Planning background and some knowledge of wider consents, permits and licenses required to implement new developments.
Holder of an undergraduate degree in a related subject and have some knowledge of current legislation and policy
~Good standards of communication, both written and spoken English
~ Ability to manage deliverables in accordance with project programme
~ Commercial awareness and demonstrable negotiation skills
~ Ability to consider wider matters e.g. knowledge of communications, environment, property, public relations, stakeholder engagement, town planning or traffic and highways
