If so, due to continuing success, we are experiencing rapid and extensive growth in all business sectors, and we are looking to recruit a Senior Quantity Surveyor with a successful background in the world of Construction.
You will join our Commercial team supporting a variety of projects covering the North Region. You will support financial management of Contracts, in partnership with the Contracts Managers and/ or Project Managers.
Vet contract documentation on receipt from Client to ensure compatibility with the Company’s Tender and subsequent negotiations
* Produce Commercial Risk Register for each contract. Monitor risk and assist in implementation of agreed mitigation measures
* Prepare and issue enquiries for Major Plant & Equipment and Sub-Contract packages. Measure, submit and agree Variations, Loss & Expense and/or Compensation Events in accordance with contractual provisions to facilitate prompt agreement of Final Accounts
* Attend Contract Review Meetings
* Authorisation and coding of Suppliers’ and Sub-Contractors’ Invoices and submission to Finance for payment
* Measure, certify and agree Sub-Contractors interim valuations and final accounts. Prepare and issue contractual notices to Sub-Contractors
A senior quantity surveyor who has a successful construction portfolio
* Educated to BSc in Quantity Surveying (or other equivalent commercially related discipline)
* Have knowledge and working experience of Mechanical / Electrical services and/ or utilities
* Be able to demonstrate commercial awareness/ acumen
