Python Backend Engineer (8-Month Contract, Outside IR35)

Key Details:

We are seeking an experienced Python Backend Engineer to join our team on an 8-month contract . You will be working on exciting projects for a fast-growing digital platform in the automotive industry, contributing to the development of scalable, high-performance backend systems. This contract offers a competitive daily rate and the flexibility of working outside IR35.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain robust backend services using Python , ensuring high performance and scalability.
  • Build, deploy, and manage RESTful APIs and microservices that integrate with frontend applications and other systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including frontend engineers and product managers, to deliver impactful features and improvements.
  • Optimize database performance and queries, working with both SQL and NoSQL databases.
  • Implement automated testing, monitoring, and debugging tools to ensure smooth operations.
  • Contribute to backend architecture design, making sure the solutions are secure, reliable, and scalable.
  • Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and team discussions to foster continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.

What We're Looking For:

  • Proven experience as a Backend Engineer with expertise in Python .
  • Strong understanding of building and maintaining RESTful APIs and microservices architecture .
  • Experience working with SQL/NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB) and optimizing data storage and retrieval.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS , GCP , or Azure , including deploying and managing services.
  • Experience with Docker , Kubernetes , and CI/CD pipelines to ensure smooth deployments.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on writing clean, testable, and maintainable code.
  • Ability to work in an agile environment, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills and a proactive, collaborative attitude.
