My client are a highly regarded, leading tier 1 contractor delivering building and infrastructure projects throughout the UK. Their portfolio encompasses a well-balanced and extensive range of work with projects including civil engineering/infrastructure, commercial schemes, education, healthcare, and mixed-use developments. They are recruiting for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to initially work on a £20m office block scheme. As the Senior Quantity Surveyor your primary responsibilities will include: Efficiently manage project costs from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to budgets and financial objectives. Oversee the procurement process, including tendering, negotiation, and contract administration. Proficiently handle various contract forms, ensuring compliance and mitigating risks. Identify opportunities for cost savings and value enhancement. Effectively manage subcontractor relationships, including procurement, payment applications, and dispute resolution. Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, forecasts, and cost analysis. Requirements: Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor in main contracting, with a focus on similar schemes exceeding £15 million in value. Proficiency in handling various contract forms Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills.
