Financial Accountant

iMultiply are supporting a well-established and growing organisation based in East Lothian to recruit a full-time Financial/Management Accountant on a permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive and detail-oriented individual to join a collaborative and mission-driven finance team. The Role This role sits within a close-knit and supportive finance function and will play a pivotal role in producing accurate financial reporting and supporting strategic decision-making across the organisation. Working closely with the Head of Finance, the successful candidate will be involved in day-to-day financial operations and help drive improvements in processes and reporting. As the Financial/Management Accountant, you will be involved in but not restricted to the following duties: Assist in producing the 'recurring deliverables’ in line with the monthly/annual timetable including monthly management accounts and commentary, forecasts, cash-flows, annual budgets and statutory accounts Financial reporting, reporting organisational performance against budget, attending meetings to discuss performance, supporting teams with financial information requirements Take the lead in group reporting requirements ensuring deadlines are met and building positive relationships with colleagues Work with the team to produce the annual audit information Transaction and cost analysis Provide cover for payroll timesheet submission Dealing with daily transactional finance duties Assist with annual audit pack preparation Other ad-hoc activities including line management To be considered for this opportunity, you must have the following: Part-qualified or QBE Experience in management accounts, financial reporting, and interpretation of financial data Experience of working with auditors Excellent IT skills including advanced Excel skills Ability to work to strict deadlines Problem-solving skills Ability to use own initiative Accuracy and can-do attitude Strong communication skills at all levels Time management and the ability to manage own workload Willingness to embrace integrated model and new ways of working On Offer This is a full-time permanent role, based in East Lothian.
