Job Description

As a Lead Software Engineer, you will be accountable for:

  • Building a successful team that consistently delivers high-quality solutions within defined architectures and timescales.
  • Individually contributing to the delivery of the team.
  • Helping to shape the architecture of our bespoke software products and platforms to achieve non-functional and strategic goals.

The Successful Applicant

The successful candidate will have:

  • Extensive hands-on experience with the Microsoft Stack (C#, SQL Server, Azure including functions, pipelines, web apps, App Insights, DevOps)
  • Demonstrable experience with a range of modern architectures (microservices, event driven, CQRS, APIs & webhooks).
  • Experience working within a range of delivery models (Scrum, Kanban, V-model, Project-based).
  • Ability to support a range of delivery roles (project managers, delivery leads, scrum masters) in estimating, planning, and delivering complex software products and projects.
  • Proven ability to coach and mentor both junior and more experienced team members.
  • Experience of line managing software engineers within a delivery squad.
  • Ability to guide complex projects to successful delivery through effective decision-making.
  • Must have the resilience and adaptability to work well in maturing technology organisations, and to play a constructive role in driving maturity.
