Youll be providing high quality legal advice on property related matters as well as other transactional matters to Southern Housing and its group. This will involve a varied caseload of residential and commercial conveyancing and property transactions, as well as assisting more junior team members with more straightforward transactions. As an in-house team we also deal with a wide variety of non-contentious legal queries which you will support the business with.
Managing routine property transactions.
Dealing with more complicated transactions and providing legal advice on non-contentious matters with support appropriate to your level from more experienced members of the team.
Assisting with developing the in-house legal provision to meet the needs of Southern Housing and its group.
Attending meetings with colleagues throughout the business to assist them with non-contentious legal issues.
Reviewing property and contract documents and reporting on them to advise colleagues on risk, options and possible outcomes in their work for Southern Housing.
Previous property law and/or conveyancing experience (particularly working in social housing or for other public sector bodies).
Previous experience of dealing with complex property transactions and commercial Contracts.
Ambition to provide a fantastic service as part of the Legal Services team.
Excellent IT skills in particular Microsoft Office suite and Outlook, and able to work within a case management system.
