At National Gas, we operate Major Accident Hazard (MAH) plants where safety is paramount. The Senior Chemical Engineer is central to identifying and preventing hazards that could have serious consequences for our people and the public. Your expertise will help us maintain the highest standards of safety and ensure our operations remain world-class.
Leading safety studies (HAZOP, LOPA, HAZCON, and more) for projects, ensuring hazards are identified and mitigated effectively.
Progressing key process safety projects and driving continuous improvement.
Reviewing and developing our process safety policies and standards.
Acting as a Subject Matter Expert (SME), providing guidance and developing new policies.
Applying deep chemical engineering knowledge to solve complex technical challenges.
Degree in chemical engineering, with a strong grasp of engineering principles related to process plant and process safety.
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role. Many of the positions within our company are subject to national security clearance and Trade Control restrictions.
