The position of Finance Analyst is within our Toxicology Finance Function located in

Abingdon, Oxfordshire. This role will report to the Financial Controller, UK Toxicology

and would suit a candidate wanting a role with a wide remit and opportunity to act as

key business partner to senior managers within the business, across commercial &

operational divisions.

While the role currently does not have any direct reports, there will be responsibility for

managing contributions from finance shared service centers and departmental budget

holders.

Responsibilities:

  • Completion of specified monthly financial reporting and analysis for the Financial Controller to a high standard
  • Under the guidance of the Financial Controller, complete the quarterly forecasting requirements for agreed departments to a high standard and to required deadlines – being able to identify and communicate risks and opportunities to delivery of the forecast commitment
  • Serve as a key finance business partner to business managers across multiple departments providing financial analysis and reporting to support decision making
  • Act as key commercial finance partner to sales managers for specified divisions, supporting with monthly projections, data analysis, pricing and any ad hoc requests.
  • Completion of monthly financial reporting packs for budget holders and commercial managers
  • Ad-hoc project work as required

Basic Qualifications | Education:

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA). QBE will be considered dependent on experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential
  • Strong computer skills especially MS Office (Advanced Excel skills essential)
  • Able to interact with key stakeholders at a senior level

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in supporting commercial teams is an advantage
  • Experience of Sage and Power BI is an advantage
