Are you looking for an exciting opportunity in the property industry? Our client, a leading property management company who have been established for over 30 years, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Property Manager to join their team on a fixed-term contract. You will spend time with the current incumbent which will allow for an effective handover period before they go on maternity leave.
As a Property Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing 4 commercial properties, ensuring that they are well-maintained and meet the needs of both tenants and property owners. If you are a motivated and detail-oriented individual with a passion for property management, this could be the perfect role for you.
There is ongoing support in this role and the team will guide you on the process and requirements for each property.
The role:
- Managing a portfolio of commercial units in Kent and introducing yourself to key contacts
- Conducting regular inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintenance standards
- Handling tenant inquiries, complaints, and requests in a professional and timely manner
- Collaborating with contractors and service providers to coordinate repairs and maintenance work
- Overseeing lease agreements, including tenant screenings and lease renewals
- Liaising with contractors, suppliers and utilities companies, using your communications skills to engage at all levels
- Dealing with emergencies in a calm and efficient manner
- Overseeing a small maintenance team and allocating work
- Reviewing lease agreements and contracts, staying on top of renewals and relevant schedules
- Completing all associated administration; files, reports, plans etc.
Is this you?
Your background will be in property management, ideally within the commercial sector and you will be comfortable working in a busy and varied role, where no two days are the same
- Previous experience in property management or a related field
- Knowledge of property laws, regulations, and best practises
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to multitask and prioritise tasks effectively
- Attention to detail and a high level of professionalism
- Valid driver's licence
