This is a new entry level role supporting the Editorial Assignment editors and Paid assignment team for a very busy department. If you are looking for something a little different, creatively rewarding and with a company who has a proven track record for success, you have found the right role.
This position is a 12-month position and reports to the Director of Entertainment in London.
Your Next Challenge:
Assist the Assignments teams in the administration elements of coordinating the coverage of entertainment events.
Support the Assignment teams with the logistical arrangements, including booking travel, of deploying photographers/videographers to locations and events for paid assignments.
Support Assignments teams with the onboarding of new freelance team members.
Ability to build strong relationships with a roster of photographers, videographers and editors along with external stakeholders, customers and PRs.
Create necessary templates and client links using internal systems.
Keep track of assignment work, revenues and profit margins and liaise with the Customer Service team to ensure sales processes are followed.
Update and maintain content to various platforms and upload to internal servers for delivery to clients.
Research of music tracks, still images and footage for client projects.
General administration support for Assignment teams where required.
What You'll Need:
A keen understanding and interest in media, journalism and the world of entertainment.
Strong organisational skills.
Excellent communication and social skills.
Willing to work anti-social hours with possible travel.
The ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing and sometimes hectic environment.
Ability to prioritize workload under pressure.
Knowledge of Excel, Word, and Outlook is essential.
Experience using video editing software such as Adobe Premiere is advantageous.
French, German, Italian or Spanish language advantageous but not required.
