Senior Data Management Professional - Data Modeling -Company Financials Bloomberg runs on data, and in Data wereresponsible for acquiring and providing it to our clients. Wecollect, model, analyze, and publish data which is the backbone ofthe Bloomberg Terminal. We apply problem-solving skills to identifyinnovative workflow efficiencies, and we implement solutions toenhance our systems, products and processes - all while deliveringadvanced insights to our clients. Were responsible for deliveringthis data, news and analytics through innovative technology -quickly and accurately. Our Team: The Company Financials (CoFi)Data team designs and builds company analysis tools for theBloomberg Terminal. This includes applications on Bloombergterminal which supports data related to financial analysis, analystrecommendations, and earnings estimates. We are responsible fortracking the evolution of data points from data processing todatabase taxonomy as well as API syntax design and front-endapplication development. Whats the role? You will be responsiblefor the development, implementation and continuous enrichment ofthe metadata discovery layer. You will use your expertise toinfluence the vision and strategy, working along with productmanagers, ontologists and taxonomists to develop financialaccounting taxonomies, accounting data standardization frameworksand the knowledge graph structure interconnecting these models. Youwill act as a domain expert, providing mentorship to productmanagers and other data modelers to ensure the presence of anefficient level of financial accounting rigor in the semanticrepresentation of Company Financial datasets. Well trust you to: *Develop, implement and maintain financial accounting taxonomies,standardization frameworks and other elements of the metadatadiscovery layer of the Company Financials products. * Lead theproject planning and execution, while partnering with Product,Engineering and Data to align on business goals. * Perform deepdata analytics on existing data models, frameworks and metadatasets in order to drive strategic decisions; build and analyzemetrics to measure business impact and success. * Collaborateeffectively with ontologists and taxonomists to align the modelswith the company-wide metadata framework and future proofsolutions. * Communicate progress effectively with partners at alllevels. * Stay on top of trends in financial accounting, assessingimpact of significant changes on existing or future products. Youllneed to have: * 4+ years of previous experience with accounting orfinancial reporting with focus on US GAAP or IFRS. * Demonstrableskills in designing and maintaining financial accountingtaxonomies. * Knowledge of how company financials data is used bydifferent financial market players. Wed Love to See: * Previousexperience with digital reporting taxonomies (e.g. XBRLtaxonomies). * Experience with Data Analytics using Python or otherlanguage. * A degree/masters/PhD in a STEM subject.
