Head of Technical - Flexible Food Packaging Gainsborough (Site-based)

Team Management: Lead, support, and develop the technical team, ensuring they have the tools, training, and guidance needed to excel.
Engage directly in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues during production, ensuring minimal downtime and consistent product quality.
Product Development: Work with your team to develop and refine flexible packaging products, contributing to design and testing processes.
Quality Assurance: Oversee the implementation of quality control measures, conducting regular checks to ensure products meet the highest standards.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with departments such as R&D, production, and sales to ensure technical requirements are met across the business, including collating and synthesising information from these areas.
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and product performance.
Provide technical expertise in client interactions, helping to address specific packaging needs.
A strong understanding of flexible packaging materials is essential. Experience: At least 10 years in a technical role within the flexible packaging industry, with substantial experience in a hands-on, team management capacity.
Expertise in flexible packaging materials and production processes, with practical, hands-on application.
A degree in Packaging Technology, Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field is preferred, but equivalent experience will be considered.
