Are you experienced, or have a keen interest, in working with the challenges associated with neurodiversity (Autism, ADHD), complex and developmental trauma and complex needs? Do you want to help create a nationally important resource with the substantial backing of one of the leading providers of education and care for young people with SEN? The post holder will progress the OT specific therapeutic services where the needs of individuals varying support needs, many with a diagnosis of autism as well as associated needs such as complex and developmental trauma. You will be a part of a multi-disciplinary well-being and therapeutic services team which is required to meet the needs of the pupils. The team includes Psychology, Speech and Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Therapies Assistant and other appropriate professionals and services. Bestwood Village School, East Midlands
Bestwood Village School is a brand-new specialist school in Nottingham for autistic young people aged 7 – 16.

Relevant Occupational Therapy qualification
Training in sensory integration
Experience of working with adults and/or children who are autistic or who have an intellectual disability and/or additional needs (e.g. complex trauma, mental health needs, behaviours of concern)
Evidence of continuing professional development relevant to the setting
Substantial and relevant post-qualification experience with adults.
Experience of lecturing/teaching/training
Skills in the management of data are also important as the role includes collecting and analysing data to inform various pieces of service delivery, development and project work.
