About Us: CheqUp Health Limited is a leading provider of weight management services, specialising in the prescription of GLP-1 / GIP medications such as Wegovy and Mounjaro. Our mission is to assist patients in achieving their weight management goals through a high-quality, medically-led service. We cater to private patients and are also licenced by NICE to offer Tier-3 weight management services to the NHS.
We are looking for a qualified Pharmacist to manage our online-only dispensing pharmacy. The successful candidate will be experienced in managing a dispensary team, and possess knowledge and experience related to weight management and the prescription of GLP-1 / GIP medications. This role includes managing a team responsible for dispensing weight management medications, addressing medical queries from patients and supporting our team of remote prescribers.
Lead the team in dispensing weight management medications.
Ensure all dispensing activities comply with current medical guidelines, policies, and regulations.
Regularly review and update all policies and SOPs related to pharmacy operations.
Provide medical advice and support to patients concerning their treatment plans and prescriptions.
Address medical inquiries and offer guidance on the side effects, benefits, and proper use of prescribed medications.
Contribute to the development of CheqUp’s clinical guidelines for weight management medications, together with the prescribing team led by Dr Andrea Pucci
Maintain detailed and accurate medical records for all patients.
Team Management:
Manage the team of dispensers and trainee dispensers in the Chippenham pharmacy.
Conduct periodic appraisals and performance reviews.
Quality and Safety:
Monitor performance across a range of indicators including dispensing timescales and take corrective action where necessary.
Maintain knowledge of best practice and make appropriate recommendations for implementation.
Lead the team in conducting audits and quality improvement activities.
Participate in regular team meetings and training sessions to stay informed of the latest medical guidelines and company policies.
Experience in weight management and the prescribing of GLP-1 / GIP medications, or leading clinics (preferably in endocrinology/diabetes) or working on an endocrinology ward.
Strong understanding of medical issues related to weight management.
