Shift Manager / Snr Production Lead Hours of work are 4 on 4 off 7am-7pm / 7pm - 7am Salary Excellent DOE We have a very exciting opportunity for a Shift Manager / Senior Production Lead at our client's FMCG modern manufacturing facility in Wigan. This is a very exciting opportunity to work for a large organisation in a leadership capacity. The successful candidate will report directory to the Factory Manager and will be directly responsible for Health and Safety Responsibilities include:

  • Lead the daily shift team meetings and briefs. Conduct end-of-shift handover with the incoming Shift Manager.
  • Attend weekly planning meetings, work with the planner to minimise change over frequency, and optimise plans.
  • Review shift plans, communicate to operators any planned changes, potential material, specification, quality, and changeover issues.
  • Responsible for the development of all operators through continual coaching, mentoring, and review in order to identify training and development need of individuals.
  • Develop and support Team leaders to create a shift leadership team that is responsive, efficient, and capable of taking control in the Shift Manager's absence.
  • Promote the management of safety, delivering no lost time accidents, reducing the number of minor accidents, and reporting incidents through a safety culture.
  • Accountable for all aspects of quality across the shift.
  • Develop professional relationships with internal and external customers to drive delivery and customer satisfaction.
The successful candidate must have proven experience in a similar supervisory / leadership role of a production team in an FMCG environment
