Astute's Renewables team is partnered exclusively with a leading international business, who develop and manufacture a range of pumps, macerators and feeding systems for the Biogas, Wastewater and Agricultural sectors. They are looking to recruit a Service Engineer to carry out mechanical and hydraulic maintenance at their workshop in Crewe and across customer sites around the UK. The Service Engineer role comes with a competitive salary, plus overtime and excellent benefits. If you're an experienced mechanical Service Engineer and are looking to work for an established business who work within the renewable energy sector, then submit your CV to apply today. **We are very keen to hear from those with experience working in the biogas sector and also candidates from a Naval Engineering background** Responsibilities and duties Reporting to the Senior Engineer you will: Carry out repairs and maintenance on mechanical equipment such as pumps, macerators and digester feeding systems Planning service jobs and writing up service reports Carrying out repairs and overhauls within the workshop and also travelling to customer sites across the UK, with occasional overnight stays Supporting Warehouse staff and Spares team as required Maintaining a clean and tidy workshop and company vehicle Other duties as required Professional qualifications We are looking for someone with the following: A recognised Engineering qualification or proven experience Telehandler or forklift licence is desired but not essential Personal skills The Service Engineer role would suit someone who has: Previous experience working within the Biogas/Anaerobic Digestion or a similar environment such as agriculture or wastewater Experience carrying out mechanical work on pumps (rotary lobe pumps, progressive cavity pumps), macerators and digester feeding systems Happy to travel across the UK to carry out onsite servicing and repairs A great work ethic and a passion for working within the renewable energy/biogas sector A full UK driving licence Salary and benefits of the Service Engineer role Competitive salary plus overtime Company van, tools, mobile phone and laptop Training program in Germany (on completion of probation) Benefits package A great opportunity to a leading business Astute Technical Recruitment Limited are acting as an employment agency in relation to this vacancy.
