Head of Technical required in Bishop's Stortford, Essex

GVR Solutions are currently assisting an established sub-contractor, based in Essex, who are on the look out for a Head of Technical join their preconstruction team.

As a subcontractor they undertake Architectural and structural glazing packages for both Architects and Developers in the Residential and commercial sectors.

Key responsibilities of the Head of Technical:

* Support technical aspects of the sales and estimating process

* Interpret architectural drawings and specifications to assess the feasibility of the clients requirements and also suggesting alternative solutions

* Understand regulations and standards

* Review RFI's and create technical schedules

* Provide estimations for commercial enquiries promptly and accurately

* Accurately analysing drawings, specifications and related documents to ensure requirements are met

* Present and explain proposals to clients efficiently and effectively

* Co-ordinate with internal and external stake holders such as: Designers, Engineers, Suppliers and contractors

* Monitor and reports on project performance identifying and resolving issues or risks that may arise

* Attend client meetings

Requirements for the Head of Technical position:

* Minimum of 5 years' experience in a Technical role with a glazing sub-contractor

* Proven track record of client engagement

* Technical knowledge of glazing systems

* Ability to interpret drawings and estimates for agreed glazing systems

* Strong problem solving skills

* Ability to guide clients and colleagues to feasible solutions

* Strong organizational skills

* Strong communication skills
