Leading a team to maximise its objectives and deliver excellent standards of performance.
Some aspects of people management for the team (with input from Heads of Department).
Ensuring that the legal/technical elements of the case conduct processes are maintained to the highest standards of efficiency, integrity and customer care.
Knowledge sharing with the team by way of supervision, training and case clinics.
Providing inspirational leadership to teams, including recruitment, motivation, training and supporting of team members.
Ensuring the team’s financial performance KPIs are delivered and maintained .
The successful candidate should be a qualified Solicitor/CILEX or have equivalent work experience with a solid track record of successfully dealing with multi-track work.
Significant experience of handling serious injury claims and litigation experience.
Sound knowledge of the CPR, litigation process and cost budgeting process.
A commercial approach to litigation and case progression.
Flexible in working hours and able to travel.
Good IT skills, especially in respect of Microsoft Office packages. Excellent time management and organisation skills.
A strong track record of thinking and acting commercially in a legal environment.
Previous supervisory or management experience.
A willingness to put forward ideas and to engage in brand development, networking events and marketing.
Driving licence.
