Children Home Registered Manager

CPL Healthcare UK are delighted to be working with one of the leading children's home providers in London to provide the best Ofsted Registered Manager . The ideal candidate in this role will be able to demonstrate their ability to act in accordance with the Quality Standards for Children’s Homes as specified in The Children’s Homes Regulations (2015). They will hold a QCF Level 5 qualification in Children and Young People.
Efficient management and operation of service in accordance with the relevant legislation, procedures, policies and the Statement of Purpose for the home
Ensure company culture and values are maintained and reinforced
To amend home policies and procedures, or to produce new documents as may be required through changes or updates in such legislation/regulations / guidelines. This includes update to homes Ofsted policies where events in the home or a change to the service/procedures / protocols requires
Ensure high levels of emotional and physical care, appropriate activities, comfortable accommodation and the service of keyworkers are planned, provided and applied in accordance with the home’s procedures and strategies
Effective delegation / planning of education and social activities • Promote the practice of working in partnership with young children, their families, staff, local authorities and other agencies in order to safeguard and promote the welfare of children. Building strong working relationships with inter-agency and multi-agency working
Using IT skills and written/verbal skills to assist in information recording and communication with internal staff and external agencies and authorities, always maintaining confidentiality • To arrange planned maintenance / servicing / calibration, as appropriate, and / or repair of installations, equipment and appliances
Working with Young People
Working compassionately and efficiently with children with emotional and behavioural difficulties and associated challenging behaviours from past traumas
Committed to achieve the best outcomes for children and driven to achieve objectives in a transparent and continuously improving environment
Effective management and development of a range of direct quality services for children
Meet the needs of and promoting the development of the children to ensure they are supported and prepared to move on to independent living
Work towards Good/Outstanding in line with SCCIF/Ofsted - How well children are helped and protected
Work towards Good/Outstanding in line with SCCIF/Ofsted - The overall experiences and progress of children
