Senior Electronics Test Engineer

TT Electronics’ Bedlington facility north of Newcastle upon Tyne is the home of two TT Electronics divisions; Sensors & Specialist Components and Power Electronics. Sensors & Specialist Components are leaders in high reliability, high performance and engineered electronic components. Power Electronics provide custom power solutions for safety-critical applications in harsh environments. The team in Bedlington specialises in microcircuit production for the aerospace and defence industries.

In this role you will develop and maintain test systems (including hardware and software) and provide day to day production support. As part of the test engineering team you will be involved in improvement projects and introducing new equipment and new products into production.
This is a full-time, onsite role, based at our Bedlington facility.

Day to day support of production, trouble shooting issues with automated test systems.
Leading in longer term team projects.
Setting up and maintaining the electrical measurement systems.
Modifying/generating test code to control instrumentation and performing automated testing.
Developing an understanding of the production test machinery.
Providing training and support to production operators.

Be degree educated in Electronic Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent.
Have demonstrated organisational, planning and program skills with careful attention to detail.
Have a keen interest in software programming such as: Labview, CVI, Python, VB.
Have experience using test instrumentation such as Oscilloscopes, Signal Generators and Digital Multimeters.
Have practical electronics and fault diagnosis skills.
