Head of Information Security Location - London(Hybrid) Salary - £110,000 to £140,000 + Benefits Type - 12 monthFTC with a view to become perm or extend past 12 months JobOverview Intaso's longstanding client is looking for a skilled andexperienced Information Security Lead / Head to develop and overseethe organisations cybersecurity strategy and operations. This rolerequires expertise in risk management, compliance, and securityoperations, alongside strong leadership capabilities to drive theimplementation of robust security measures. About the Team Ourclients technology division is newly established and poised for anexciting future in shaping enterprise technology, digitalinitiatives, and data strategy. We operate in a fast-moving, agileenvironment, prioritising end-user experience while fosteringinnovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement. TeamStructure The Information Security Lead will report directly to theHead of Technology and be a key member of the technology leadershipteam. About You You have a proven history of developing andimplementing high-quality security practices and managing securityoperations effectively. You thrive in high-stakes environments andare adept at delivering scalable, reliable security solutions in afast-paced setting. Insurance experience is highly desirable. KeyResponsibilities * Develop and maintain a cybersecurity strategyaligned with organisational goals and regulatory requirements. *Conduct risk and vulnerability assessments to identify securitygaps. * Manage audits, bid responses, and third-party securityvendors, ensuring SLAs are met. * Ensure compliance with industrystandards such as ISO 27001, Cyber Essentials+, NIST, and IEC 27000series. * Act as the escalation point for security incidents,ensuring efficient resolution. * Provide regular reporting onsecurity performance, incidents, and risk analysis. * Lead theSecurity Operations Centre (SOC) for continuous monitoring andincident response. * Develop and implement security awareness andtraining initiatives. * Conduct regular security audits andassessments to enhance the organisation's security posture. *Oversee supplier security risk management and compliance. * Designand implement technical security solutions, including firewalls,IDS/IPS, encryption, and endpoint protection. * Workcollaboratively with technology teams to ensure secure systemdesign. * Establish and refine security controls, services, andprocesses. * Provide security-related reporting and insights forsenior management. * Lead Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC)efforts, ensuring regulatory alignment. Key Requirements *Education: * Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field. *Minimum of 10 years in information security, with at least 4+ yearsin a leadership role. * Strong knowledge of security frameworks andstandards, including NIST, ISO/IEC 27000 series, SOC 2, and CISCritical Security Controls. * Extensive experience with MicrosoftAzure security tools and solutions, such as Microsoft Defender,Microsoft Sentinel, Azure Key Vault, Azure Firewall, and AzureSecurity Center. * Expertise in risk management, incident response,and security operations. * Strong leadership, communication, andstakeholder management skills. * Ability to manage multiplepriorities effectively under pressure. * Familiarity withregulatory compliance frameworks, including financial sectorrequirements. * Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA arehighly advantageous.
